Meet the Providers

Amanda Emerson, LCSW

Healing requires honest care without judgment. In order to provide individualized treatment and support, I will work cooperatively with you to clarify your treatment goals and draw from a variety of methodologies to create a plan that fits your needs. My style is warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, and creativity, with a realistic and effective approach to treatment. To me, an individual should be treated as a whole, including the mind, the body, and the (soul/self)- whatever that is to them.

I have expertise in many areas including complex trauma, abuse, grief counseling, mood disorders, personality disorders, relationship complexities, certified transgender care provider, autism spectrum specialist, ADHD, anxiety, depression, sex therapy, trauma yoga, internal family systems, LGBTQ+ complexities, relationships, and coping with life transitions.

The clients I work with say, that I am compassionate, and they feel seen and heard. I am a clear communicator who effortlessly builds and maintains meaningful relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.

Calvin Peeler, LPC

With over two decades of military experience, I have transitioned into a role as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My goal is to apply my broad expertise to help individuals tackle both personal and professional challenges. I offer specialized therapeutic support for those navigating life's complexities. By employing a variety of therapeutic techniques, I develop customized treatment plans designed to meet the specific needs and challenges of each client, ensuring they receive effective, empathetic, personalized care.

My extensive background as a school-based counselor and supporter of military families has equipped me with the skills necessary to address a wide range of psychological issues, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, trauma, and various behavioral challenges. This experience, combined with my personal journey through similar struggles, infuses my counseling approach with a profound empathy and insight, enabling me to connect deeply with my clients and enhance their therapeutic experience.

My approach to counseling is rooted in the belief that therapy should be as unique as the individual seeking help. I strive to understand and address the specific circumstances and needs of each client, facilitating personal growth and healing in a compassionate and supportive setting.
